The natural surroundings of our farm are a constant reminder that we really do live in a small corner of paradise. In order to preserve this unique cultural landscape for the generations to come, we focus on sustainable and environmentally sound farming practices in many aspects of our business.

In 2014, we installed a solar power system with an area of 66 m² on the roof of our farm. The 40 solar panels produce 10 kWp, which is used to power part of our farm. The surplus energy is fed into the public grid.
The tap water here in Austria, just like in Germany, is subject to the highest quality standards and is therefore perfectly drinkable. Here in the mountains, the water flows directly from the numerous springs into the houses and therefore comes out the tap completely untreated – you can taste the pure drinking water quality!
Ever since 1996, we have been heating our entire farm and holiday apartments with a wood chip heating system. The wood for this is sourced directly from our forests and the region and chopped on site.
In 1999, we built a hydroelectric power station in Hollersbachtal to supply power to our alpine hut. This allowed us to replace three diesel generators for the good of the environment.
Looking for a wheelchair-friendly holiday? Then look no further. Our accessible apartments, playground and barn provide plenty of space to move around freely on two wheels. We can also give you plenty of suggestions for accessible excursions.
There's simply never a dull moment here. Not only are there pony rides once a week, but you can also take a leisurely ride on the "Bummelzug" tourist train. For sociable BBQ nights, you are also welcome to use the BBQ and utensils.
