Modern farming with tradition

On our farm in Hollersbach in Pinzgau, which was built in 1748 and is steeped in history, you will experience first-hand what daily life is like for us here on the farm. We – Georg and Angelika Kaltenhauser – run the farm as a grassland operation with organic dairy farming.

Together with our children, we farm 25 hectares of grasslands that are mown three times a year as well as 4 hectares of litter meadows in the wetlands of the Hollersbach nature reserve.

At present, we have 20 dairy cows and around 30 young cattle of the Pinzgauer breed, as well as sheep and lambs. As a guest on our organic farm, you can visit the barn and watch the daily milking at close quarters. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our exciting work as farmers.

Our motley crew of animals in the petting zoo are popular with guests of all ages. When visitors stop by, they are greeted by a chorus of grunting from our miniature pigs. The miniature sheep and the rabbits are a real favourite to stroke with their soft coats.

There's simply never a dull moment here. Not only are there pony rides once a week, but you can also take a leisurely ride on the "Bummelzug" tourist train. For sociable BBQ nights, you are also welcome to use the BBQ and utensils.
