At present, we have 20 dairy cows and around 30 young cattle of the Pinzgauer breed, as well as sheep and lambs. As a guest on our organic farm, you can visit the barn and watch the daily milking at close quarters. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our exciting work as farmers.
We deliver our milk to the local "Pinzgau Milch" dairy. There it is processed into the well-known and originally advertised organic hay milk products.
In summer, we harvest the winter fodder for the animals on our farm. The haymaking usually begins at the end of May with the first crop. All this is possible because our cattle and sheep spend the summers (from the end of May until early September) grazing high up on the Scharreralm pasture in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The milking is done by our alpine herdsmen and dairymen.
